  1. Read books and act on what they inspire. The most amazing ideas and the deepest emotions are expressed in long-form writing, but they are slippery. Doing something or writing something inspired by them helps hold on to their magic.
  2. Stop buying so much shit. Be happy with what you have.
  3. Keep fasting, keep exercising, keep off carbs.
  4. Make people around you feel important. Remember their name and use it. Look them in the eyes. Listen to them. Learn about them.
  5. You may act on emotions. You may not act when you are mad. Passion is a strength. Don’t be ashamed to use it.
  6. Create. Nothing makes you so proud of yourself as creating, so write poems, write songs, play guitar, paint, set up a business… just keep creating.
  7. People without dirty hands are wrong. Doing something makes you right.1
  8. It’s a small world. Leave a good impression. Life is full of unexpected turns. Honor and reputation never go out of style.
  9. Be generous and, in everything you do, do good.
  10. Make her happy.
